Position Description:
MCN Solutions, LLC has an exciting opportunity in our IT Department. We are seeking an IT Program Manager to join our growing team and support our Application Development, Interactive Media, and Digital Communication Services Venture. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be detail oriented, able to work in a team environment and independently. You will:
Organize, direct, and manage contract operation support functions, involving multiple, complex and inter-related project tasks.
Manage teams of contract support personnel at multiple locations.
Maintain and manage the client interface at the senior levels of the client organization.
Meet with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items.
Ensures conformance with program task schedules and costs.
Monthly travel to client location is required.
Skills Requirements:
Required Skills:
Candidate should have a minimum of 12 years or more experience of a Program Manager.
Coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of company programs.
Responsibilities also include aiding in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes.
Coordinate preparation of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts.
Develops new business and expands product line.
Ensures adherence to master plans.
Schedules, develops solutions to program problems.
Directs work of incumbents assigned to program from various departments.
Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
Acts as advisor to program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills.
Strong writer who is able to interview and create articles.
Excellent verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills.
Experience using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Publisher, SharePoint, Access, Visio and Lync.
Good communication skills to interact with team members, customers, and support personnel.
Monthly travel to client location is required.
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated expertise applying standard DOD and commercial management approaches.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent training
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or other related discipline.
Education:
Position requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 12 years of experience in the field or in a related area or 15 years of experience in the field in lieu of degree.
